Our wedding & Honeymoon

We’re celebrating our love with a small, private ceremony at a special place close to our hearts — our family vacation home on Lake Hamilton. Surrounded by family and a few friends, we’ll exchange vows at sunset, with the water sparkling behind us and laughter in the air. Across cultures, the honeymoon is a fresh start — the first shared adventure as a married pair. And that’s exactly how we see this. We’ll leave the next day, flying to Paris, wandering its romantic streets, sharing pastries and stories. From there, we’ll explore the vibrant energy of Barcelona before landing in the beachside town of Sitges, where art, history, and sea air will carry us into the slower rhythms of married life. Our wedding is a quiet, heartfelt celebration — but our honeymoon is deeply personal. It’s our first step into married life, side by side, exploring unfamiliar cities, tasting new flavors, and collecting stories that will become part of our own. At a time when marriage equality is still being challenged, this journey means even more. We’re not just traveling — we’re celebrating our love openly, boldly, and with joy. We met in early 2023 and quickly realized we shared something rare: a deep connection, an easy sense of humor, and a mutual love for quiet evenings and big dreams. Brad, being a filmmaker with a passion for storytelling and adventure, is always chasing the next great idea or spontaneous getaway. Dylan, as an occupational therapist, brings a quiet strength and grounded presence—he’s thoughtful, steady, and has a heart for helping others heal, grow, and thrive. Together, we’ve built something rooted in balance—spontaneity meets steadiness, energy meets calm. Brad has shown Dylan the thrill of last-minute travel, golden hour photo ops, and saying “yes” to the unexpected. Dylan reminds Brad to slow down, unplug, and be fully present—whether that’s during a sunset on the lake or a cozy night at home. We’re each other’s grounding force and biggest cheerleader. Our dog Cooper has been along for the ride, offering moral support and the occasional dramatic sigh when he’s not the center of attention. On New Year’s Eve, nearly two years after we met, Brad proposed at midnight during a dinner party with friends. Dylan said yes, and everything about that moment—joyful, sincere, and a little chaotic—felt exactly like us. Now we’re getting ready to say&nbsp;I do, surrounded by the people who’ve cheered us on from day one. We’re so glad you’re part of our story.

We’re getting married at the clubhouse of the family vacation home on Lake Hamilton — a very special place where we gather to celebrate birthdays, holidays, and each other. It's a laid-back spot built in the 1950s with a lot of heart and a great view. It’ll be a celebration by the water, not a black-tie affair. Arrive at 6:00 PM for a cocktail hour and the magic starts at 6:45. The ceremony will be short and sweet, standing room only outside on the patio.  If you're wondering what to wear, think resort wear — the kind of thing you'd pack for a relaxed, fun weekend on vacation, with a little extra flair.  Flowy dresses, linen sets, or caftans in tropical prints or bright colors are all great. Breezy fabrics, comfy sandals or wedges, and fun accessories are totally welcome — but no need to overthink it. If it feels festive and easy to move in, it’s perfect.  Linen shirts, polos, or printed button-ups paired with linen pants, chinos, or tailored shorts work well. No ties needed — just keep it cool and comfortable. Loafers or sandals are great options (but maybe leave the flip-flops at home unless you're bringing your metal detector).  If the weather cooperates, it will be a mix of indoors and outdoors. We just want you to be comfortable and be ready to celebrate!

What to Expect

We’re planning an evening that’s relaxed, meaningful, and full of joy — nothing too formal, just a celebration of love with our favorite people by the lake.  We’ll start with cocktails as everyone arrives and gets into the spirit of things. Then, as the sun begins to set over Lake Hamilton, we’ll gather for an outdoor heartfelt ceremony.  After that, we’ll celebrate with good food, cold drinks, and the best kind of company — our family and a few friends. Expect lots of laughter, happy tears, and a small space filled with big love.  We can’t wait to share this moment with you.

Look for the “D&B” arrow signs along Lakeland Drive

After passing Hot Springs Marina, proceed straight at the next curve, yielding to oncoming traffic. Follow the signs and turn left at the blue Lakeland Lodge sign. Upon entering the gate, the clubhouse is straight ahead. Park in any open spot, including grassy areas. Parking is limited and carpooling is encouraged.
